The Tronsmart Draco H3 Android HDMI stick is one of the first devices powered by the new Allwinner H3 processor.
The Tronsmart Draco H3 HDMI stick supports H.265, 4K hardware decoding and 4K output. The new video decoding technology H.265 can save about 50% bandwidth.
“Allwinner H3 is designed to be an extremely cost-competitive full 4K OTT solution by integrating peripherals such as CVBS, Ethernet Phy, audio codec, etc.”, said Jimmy Mak, the product manager of Allwinner Smart Home product lineup, “The H3 chipset will be priced at $6 to sharpen its competitive edge, making it possible for ordinary consumers to enjoy the stunning full 4K visual experience with affordable price points.”
The HDMI stick will run on Android 4.4 and has 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage. Connectivity is handled by a (full sized) USB 2.0 port, a micro USB OTG port, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a micro USB power port.
The Tronsmart Draco H3 will be launched for a price between $30 and $40 USD.
