Steven Shiau announced the latest stable build of GParted Live, the free partition manager that enables you to resize, copy, and move partitions without data loss. GParted Live is now at version 0.23.0-1. This release runs on Linux Kernel 4.1.3 and GParted 0.23.0 and is based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 06-08-2015).
This release adds many interesting features like the ability to display a disk’s serial number (device information dialog). Another new feature is setting the Btrfs file system UUIDs and GParted Live is now capable of adding a partition name to the create dialog, as well as enabling online naming of partitions (useful for GUID Partition Table partitioned disks)
Also a few bugs are fixed, like it will no longer hang when attempting to resize FAT32, FAT16, HFS+ and HFS file systems.
- The underlying GNU/Linux operating system was upgraded. This release is based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2015/Aug/06).
- New GParted 0.23.0.
