The game Homefront: The Revolution will be ported to Linux. Homefront: The Revolution is a FPS game from Crytek built on the CryENGINE game engine.
This is the second game in the series, and it was initially published by THQ, but that company is gone. Deep Silver will now publish the game and take care of the Linux port.
“Homefront: The Revolution is an open-world first person shooter where the player must lead a Resistance movement in guerrilla warfare against a superior military force. A living, breathing, open world responds to every action – the Resistance Cell can inspire a rebellion on the streets and turn Occupation into Revolution, as oppressed civilians take up the fight,” as stated by the Homefront developers.
It’s not sure when the game will be released, exactly but the latest rumors mention a christmas release, this year. According to one of the latest tweets, the Linux port is still in the pipeline.
