Linus Torvalds confirmed he’s planning to ship Linux 4.0 next weekend. Yesterday 4.0 rc7 was released.
Linux 4.0 Kernel Rc7 was a bit late & regarding to the anouncement it did get compensated by getting a a few extra fixes.
According to Linus Torvalds the Kernel contains a lot of driver updates (3 quarters). The bulk of it being network drivers, but also gpu, iio, input & usb-drivers are included.
The rest is some small x86 fixes, some networking, a lazytime fix & documentation.
