Linus Torvalds released rc8 of the Linux 4.1 kernel. This is the last release candidate before the final release of the Linux 4.1 kernel.
This release contains some MD fixes and driver fixes that can now be tested while Linus Torvalds is on holiday.
“The fixes are pretty small, and hopefully we’re all good now. But
another week of testing certainly won’t hurt, so rc8 is perfectly
appropriate.”, as mentioned by Linus Torvalds in the release announcement.
