Linus Torvalds just released the latest release candidate of the Linux kernel; version 4.1-rc6.
This is the latest release candidate of Linux kernel 4.1.0 and contains a lot of new features.
A few highlights of the new features:
- XenGT vGPU support
- ACPI for 64-bit ARM
- Radeon DisplayPort MST handling
Improvements include better Intel CPU/GPU performance for certain classes of chips and of course this release contains a lot of bug fixes.
Linux kernel 4.1.0 is planned to be released later this month, so probably there will another release candidate before the final release of 4.1.0.
